Welcome to the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County

The Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County, Maryland is an organization that provides support to families of children, teens and adults with Down syndrome, offers opportunities for these families to socialize and connect with service providers, and also works to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome with the support of organizations such as The Arc of Montgomery County, NDSS and NDSC.

Our organization provides:

Social opportunities for families and individuals with Down syndrome
Support to new and expectant parents of babies with Down syndrome
Speakers for parents and service providers on current research and best practices dealing with individuals with Down Syndrome
Information on accessing local and state resources and services in our community
Opportunities for parents and service providers to network with each other and to learn and support each other through an email list serv and a quarterly newsletter
Advocacy to enhance the lives of people with Down syndrome with a particular focus on educational, recreational and legislative opportunities.

DSNMC BUDDY WALK MEETING - JULY 15, 2009 at 7:30 pm

If you would like to volunteer to help make this popular DSNMC event happen, please come to our Buddy Walk Meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 7:30 pm. The Buddy Walk is our biggest DSNMC fundraiser of the year and given the current economic climate we will need to utilize the
