Special Olympics Maryland Montgomery County
The mission of Special Olympics, Maryland, Montgomery County is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in 15 Olympic-type sports for citizens with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Developmental Disabilities Council
The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council is a public policy organization that advocates for the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life. The Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS)

Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services,
Disability Information and Services
The Department of Health and Human Services has primary responsibility for the delivery of public health and human services that address the basic and critical needs of the county’s most vulnerable children, adults and seniors in Montgomery County.
First and foremost, the Department provides core services that protect the community’s health, protect the health and safety of at-risk children and vulnerable adults, and address basic human needs including food, shelter, clothing and personal care. The Department also provides a number of other services to assist families to be healthy, safe and strong

Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration
The Developmental Disabilities Administration provides a coordinated service delivery system so that individuals with developmental disabilities receive appropriate services oriented toward the goal of integration into the community. These services are provided through a combination of state residential centers (providing services to individuals with intellectual disability) and a wide array of community based services delivered primarily through a network of non-profit providers.
