Important News about The Campership Program

With the efforts of many dedicated members and the success of the 2007 Buddy Walk, we were able to offer financial assistance for summer programs to 16 families in the DSNMC.  We are pleased because thanks to your contributions now these families will be able to enroll their children in summer programs. These programs may be therapy related, summer camp, summer classes such as cooking or art, swimming lessons and the like.  It is our goal to support the families in Montgomery County in a way that we have never been able to.   We realize the importance of year round structured activities which is why we have launched this program.  

 DSNMC provided up to $500 to each family chosen through a lottery system.   If a program cost exceeded $500, the family is responsible for the remaining amount. The applications were chosen by age group in a lottery system.

The families that received financial assistance had to meet the following pre-requisites:

1. ALL applicants were in good standing with the DSNMC,  i.e. dues were current.
2. To receive the CAMPERSHIP TUITION ASSISTANCE, they provided DSNMC a paid invoice showing that they were registered for the program. DSNMC then paid the program directly.  NO CHECKS were issued to family members.   Only one invoice per child was submitted.

4. Programs must occur during June 2008-August 2008.  (This program is for summer assistance).
